Ghosts

We moved into our brand new house in 2006, it had just been built... However we do have ghost/s in our house and upon further investigations we have found there are tunnels running deep underground leading from the Abbey that is about 2 miles from our house going to the local church, about half a mile in the opposite direction so how can the "monks" as my OH has had an upclose and personal visit from one standing in the door of the study looking at my OH chanting in latin tongues...

I was seeing my OH off last night as he was going out and I noticed a shadow come down the stairs and into the hallway, thinking it was my son, I called out to him which he replied that he was in his bedroom.

How can ghosts know that there is a house here now and to walk around it when the house itself has no history.

We do live in the middle of the countryside on the very edge of a small rural village with fields all around us.

I dont even like going up to the third floor on my own as it just feels weird up there....

Good morning kat I just had to sign up when I read this as I've always been mystified by the supernatural but have yet to find conclusive proof that ghosts do actually exist though there are many times whilst alone in secluded places where I definitely do not feel alone, maybe we're all preprogrammed to believe there are ghosts hence the feelings of being watched, not alone and our hearing and vision being amplified and seeing and hearing things which we usually wouldn't due to adrenalin and fear.

I have tunnels running under my house too, in fact they are all through this district only they are old mine workings. I'm sure there have been many accidents and deaths there in the past but I've never seen any ghosts. Perhaps it is because I don't believe in them. You may have to believe in order to see.

I'm not sure of the relevance of the tunnels. As the tunnels don't lead directly into your room these ghosts could just as easily be walking across the fields/down the road and walking through your door/walls.

Factor30 It's a well know fact that sewers, train tunnels harbor much supernatural activity. Maybe they act as a supernatural conduit or a ghost world doorway between this world and the next.

bubbler.....if I was a ghost and had to travel between "this world and the next" I wouldn´t go via the sewer, I would go Virgin Atlantic First Class...........bu99er the sewer route.

yes have to agree with jaydah, was told years ago by my mom, always face your fears head on, or in my case bloody ugly hairy spiders, she´d always say try spekaing to them, it wasnt always easy, but it kind of helped

Not you kat, it must have been something he said or maybe the editor is being ultra careful in that he has only just joined. He may be someone banned using another name. Who knows, but don't worry, this is an interesting thread, even if I don't believe in ghosts.

sorry to sound flippant, but how do you know if someone was suspended? did a ghost tell you

Yes I agree, I do believe in ghosts and the afterlife though and to be honest I have never seen my OH so scared lol, I was at work and he called me and he was still quite pale by the time I got home, I definately think there is something here in the house, I'm not sure I like the feeling I get though when I go to the top floor, it just makes me feel really uneasy and uncomfortable.
