We are due to go to Taba Heights on Tuesday. I would be interested to know how things are in the Red Sea resorts. I wondered if supplies of food and drink are normal. Seems a terribly shallow request when the Egyptian people are fighting for democracy.

From Sky News (only a few minutes ago):
A spokesman for Thomas Cook UK & Ireland said: "Our experienced teams on the ground assure us that no tourist areas at the Red Sea have been affected in any way by the recent demonstrations.

"They are fully operational and holidaymakers are continuing to enjoy the popular resorts of Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada."

However, according to the Foreign Office website, the curfew is nationwide which (presumably) means that holidaymakers must be in their hotel by 1600 (and not leave again before 0800). Also, don't expect your mobile phone to work:

just as well it's not Sharm - Mubarak is reported to be hiding out there.
