What would happen to the earth, animals, flowers etc if there was never any darkness at night?

There is no way of knowing what the outcome would be as at present the dynamics of eco-systems are not well enough understood.
The animals at the Poles seem to manage with months of continual darkness. If this happens gradually (like over thousands of years), I am sure life would adapt.
If this happens at once with some ginormous mirrors, the weather would stop and we have continuous summer. Without weather no rain so no grass or cereal food - no food for anyone. Amen.

Countries north of the Arctic circle experience that for six months every year and plants and animals have adapted to it. Bear in mind that the sun does vary in its intensity throughout each 24 hour period so there is a cycle of weather. The same would apply if it occurred at lower latitudes and the cycle would be far greater because of the intensity of the sun.
