I've recently given up alcohol for health reasons and the fact that I hated the associated hangover the next day. I've been out to clubs twice since and only drank tap water. However both mornings after I've woken up with a niggly headache and felt a bit sick. It can't be due to dehydration because of all the water I drink during the night and when I get home. Does anyone else that doesn't drink have this? Or does anyone have an explanation?
It's kind of making me think what's the point in not drinking if I still get a hangover, it's a bit unfair I think!

I don't really go to clubby places they are more often than not Indie clubs so there aren't that many "bangin tunes" ha ha but when I drank before the music didn't give me a headache before the morning. it is most probably the smoke, my Dad suggested this too.
thanks for your answers everyone!
I used some of those RU21s on new years eve when I did drink and rather than preventing a hangover it actually made me a lot worse than I usually am! If you still want to try them they are 4.99 or something a pack and on 3 for 2 at Boots.
I've recently been taking a couple of painkillers when I get in and before I go to bed and that seems to minimise the headaches in the morning.
