Can't copy and paste

When trying to copy and paste long words or picture into publisher it'll only paste 'immunosuppressants' which I copied and pasted ages ago and won't paste anything else I try to, what can I do to stop it?

I've found the clipboard and it's empty. It won't work if I print screen for a picture then paste it in either . . .

Publisher is 'upset' by certail MS security updates.
Generally, later versions of MSP will open earlier versions, except formatting may be wrong (this will need correcting)
Print layout and selection changes too from version to version)

pixi I closed the programme about 5 mins before you answered but after seeing it, i thought I'd better try and see if it would work if I opened it again :)
