Christmas Puppy
My family and I were celebrating Christmas eve last year and we saw this poor little puppy just snooping around so I didn't bother us since we thought it was one of our neighbor's pet. A few days later, the same puppy was wandering around the house so my nephew took her in and cleaned her.
We took her for a walk around the neighbor hood to see if anyone would claim the poor pup but no one did. All the dogs were barking and some were also trying to chase her and I was surprised to see that she was just jogging and not worrying about any other dogs barking at her. Since we don't know what the name is, my little nephew decided to name her Christmas.
The poor pup had a hearing problem because she doesn't respond to us when we call and even when another dog barks down on her so we took really good care of her.
Two months ago someone pet-napped our pup and threw her out on the street, we took her in again and cared for her but a few days later she died. We will miss our little Christmas, since she truly was our present on Christmas.

I know that you'll never be able to replace Christmas but I suspect that it won't be too long before you're visiting a dog rescue centre to find a new canine friend!
