Yikes, Xmas in four days!
1 Answers
Hi, I haven't been here in a while. I received an email, reminding me that I am a member. I just read my Question from four years ago. Wow, things have certainly changed for the better, I am happy to say.
Concerning my son anyhow. He is the most wonderful boy. He called last week, to say he can not believe his good luck. He thinks he has the best parents in the world, who would not let go, and insisted on standing up for what they believe in and not letting him down by letting him just go on with his destructive ways. Gosh, I don't think anyone has touched my heart with words, such as these. He even calls me to tell me the hot deals at the grocery store. What a turnaround, for now, as life is everchanging. Must know to savor the moment.
If your kids are going through hard times, taking the easy road which leads only to deception, and unfulfillment, don't ever let go. It might not work, for various reasons, but it certainly can't hurt, and once a parent, always a parent. If you're not doing your job, every thing else loses value and savor.
So, my question is, 'Due to many issues that need to be tended to, and the amount of stress that they entail, I have not done one thing to prepare for Xmas. What can I do to repair this? Not one gift is bought, and I have four kids. They have been quite fortunate in the past and are accustomed to getting very nice things. I don't have the cash for that anymore, and my heart just isn't in it this year. They are 14, 16, 22, and 24. I don't even have a decoration put up. Is there anyway I can fix this huge problem? My energies are at a very low level due to all that needs attentions on the practicality facet of our life and I must focus on this, elst we are looking at hard times ahead.

Also, what are the eldest kids' plans for Christmas day? Can you not go to them?
As for presents, don't worry yourself. It's not like they're little and believe in Father Christmas. Just having a nice day with their Mum will be more than enough :-)
