Skirt shortage!
21 Answers
I'm on my pet subject again I know, but when will fashion buyers realise that not everyone, any age, any size wants to wear trousers all the time.
Looking round the shops last week there are hardly any skirts for everyday wear (a few velvet ones for evening wear) so I was really pleased to see some advertised in a widely circulated catalogue "Fifty Plus" - I ordered one in my usual long flowing style I can wear with boots. This morning I got an email apologising for a delay in sending my order as they were a little suprised at the huge demand which had wiped out their entire stock! They have re-ordered and I can expect to receive my skirt .........wait for it ........... by 19 DECEMBER allowing for 5 days in the post!! What a long wait!
I can't understand why stores haven't learnt from last years mistake - think of the loss of sales to the big stores who are not stocking them despite the demand! While out shopping I heard lots of shoppers saying the same thing.

^^^ Loads of skirts and you can sort them in to your size and particular shops if you like specific brands.

Same here Boxie - I really love rummaging through charity shops (only clean ones which smell nice inside though!) and I'm always on Ebay! Trouble with our charity shops in the town they always run out of the style of skirts I like, I need them really long as I'm quite tall, there are lots of minis, but not really at my age thanks (or size haha) Ebay is ok, but at the moment long skirts (Per Una style) are going for ridiculous prices - well over £20 + postage for the last USED one that I bid for and lost! Thanks for the links, mamya I think Fifty Plus is a subsidery of J D Williams so maybe the skirts in there are the same as I ordered and got to wait for Santa to bring :)) I will take a look ta!

// i use ebay all the time and amazon i buy and sell//
well desktop, you are certainly cleverer than moi, I buy but not ventured into selling yet as I'm not quite sure what to do. Can you tell me how to start?
How is it you can't paste links on AB or do the simplest things like a download but can have a sellers account on Ebay etc? <scratches head in puzzlement>
