Is it Christmas again already? I must have fallen asleep.
Thank you for best answer, Kate.....☺ wee bit concerned about the red lights though.... ;-)
Some Oxford Street stores have already got their Christmas windows done
Slinky, I'm not coming to yours if you have a chimera in the shed!

Will there be Crackers?
I'd like to pull a Cracker!
Is that your Christmas wish, Baldric?
Red lights?....hmmmmm!
Red lights are Christmasy.
True.
you doing cocktails Mama
I'm nominating Seekerz to host our Christmas party on the beach:

I'm sure that the Ed will pay all our fares, won't he?
No they won't travel Chris, besides, that's abroad isn't it? That certainly won't do for Christmas; it has to be in a cold and frosty shed just up the road somewhere.
I do really find it difficult to understand why you people are discussing Christmas whilst it's still August. I realize that it's CB; however, time fleets by rapidly enough so please don't accelerate it. Am I a humbug?...It's a distinct possibility.
Oh thanks a bucket Chris...you might have warned me first !! OK I can do prawns on the barbie on the beach ... how many are coming ... should I lay on a Hercules transport ?? and who's bringing their cats and dogs !! this should be a riot !!

( I'm leaving home now, shush, nobody will notice !! )
Seekerz:
I was wondering whether you'd see my post! The only time I've been to Adelaide was in August, when the weather was lovely. I thought that it might be even nicer in December ;-)

Stuey:
Maydup wants somewhere cold and frosty. Canada, perhaps?
If Stuey won't have us I know a free wood store in Calgary...bit more than frosty though.....and Kate can bring her red lights....☺
Perhaps we should consider the Netherlands, Gness.

I understand that red lights are popular in Amsterdam ;-)
Goodness me, Chris! Now how would a convent girl like me know anything at all about that????
That reminds me, Gness, of when I took a group of kids on a school football tour to Ostend. On our first night there we simply made sure that the kids stayed in their rooms. (We knew that they wouldn't get to sleep for several hours). So, along with my colleagues, I sat on the stairs (outside the rooms where the kids were) for much of the night, to ensure that the kids didn't start running between the rooms.

We were joined by teachers from a Catholic school in Belfast, who were doing exactly the same thing. They were all nuns, dressed in their full religious clothing. After they'd told us some of the filthiest jokes I've ever heard (Roy Chubby Brown would have blushed to hear them!) they mentioned that they'd briefly lost an 11yo boy earlier in the day. They back-tracked along their route (through Ostend's red light district) to find him outside a house of ill-repute, with a big grin on his face and waving a wad of money at the woman sitting in the window ;-)
