I always have a new blingy top for Christmas day......this year's was black of course......sleeveless.....the under layer a sheer black fabric and the outer layer horizontal strips of black splashed with gold.......about a dozen or so all sewn along the top of each layer....but free and slightly crimped at the bottom....

Guests smiled whenever they looked at me.....they like it too, I thought....

Til someone took me to a mirror..... :-0!

Every time I moved....took a deep breath.....raised my arms.....I talk with my hands so that was lots.....the horizontal strips did a sort of Mexican wave....

They rippled up and down the front of my body and when I stopped....they stopped where they were....if they were up...they were up.....exposing the diaphanous under layer.....and most of what was under that.......☺

So.....bin it....or charity shop it with a warning?......x

Did you not look in the mirror when dressing?
Question Author
I did of course......but I wasn't jigging about or talking to myself.....I just stood there thinking.....hmm...you'll do.....x

You could use it for scaring the wildlife :-)
Well keep it for an appropriate party - why waste it?
Can't you just put a black, floaty jacket on, to hold the top in place?

Seems a shame to give it away.

Great idea, Melv....I shall do star jumps in the woods...x

Tilly.....I did actually slip something over it to try.....but it just seemed to make it worse.....x

Charity Shop, without the warning, spread the fun ;o)

I agree! Let's see what your talking about.
Also what type of party would be 'appropriate' for a top like this?
