Oh no......no turkey sandwiches, cold turkey and bubble and squeak, turkey omelette, turkey curry, turkey soup. turkey stir fry etc etc etc.... you are going to have to cook all those meals instead of relying on the good old turkey. I would rather just cook the one meal and live off it untill new year's eve.....!!

I am either having 16 for lunch on Christmas Eve and 2 for Christmas day or 4 on Christmas Eve and 8 on Christmas Day depending on my friends!

no good as that is failing now, Tilly.....waste of dosh - I would prefer an extra glass of vintage port in house - and that reminds me to order my non-pasteurised Stilton, the Stichelton....it was wonderful last year, so creamy and delish.

I have only had Christmas day dinner out once. My two brothers and I took our mum and dad. They were very religious regular church goers. The meal was OK but I was so embarrased at the after dinner entertainment. It was a 'blue comedian' who told really embarrassingly crude jokes.

I will probably be cooking for 9. I don't mind because I see a time not too far in the future where I might be on my own, so I'm enjoying it while I can. I try not to get too stressed about it. Difficult at times though.

I will be cooking for 9 as well Christmas day. No problem just as easy as cooking for 2 you just cook bigger portions.
The Turkey, Gammon , Pork and beef all go in the oven at the same time and cook on 'Slow' for 8 hours overnight. Next morning it is just roast spuds and veg to cook. Cooking on slow is great no need for timing and all the meat is juicy and tender. Turkey is cooked breast side down of course , so the juices run down into the breast meat.

Don't you regard that as food shopping??
