After 4 years of "treatment" Kirsty is back - jeepers - what treatment was that - I'm crippled with it and was told "no cure".

my sister's had that since the 1980s and has had a lot of pain, but she's been driving a cab all that time. There's no cure but it seems to be manageable. I expect some people have it worse than others.

I know a few people with fibro - one is in a dreadful state but others seem to cope most days. Horrible condition to live with

you know that even if a little plastic spoon fell on your toe - the pain can be excruciating ie going up your leg etc. The worst for me is my waist/ribs and if I am having a shower - on my face bones.

Did you have problems getting a diagnosis, JJ?

A little in the beginning Barry - I was recuperating after a big car crash and so when I went to the consultant - he put me through some exercises and of course when I couldn't do some - he did say that I "had the beginning of Fibromyalgia" Think it was 1998 but as my sister said as time has gone on - I am suffering very badly now.

Recall an incident my friend were kidding each other and she very gently tapped me on the knee and the pain just reverberated up the thigh, that I sorta screamed. Friend just said Jenny I just touched you so lightly and so she had.

You were lucky to get diagnosed so quickly, many people struggle to find out what's wrong with them

Barry. I don't get medication for it I just take otc meds
