It's Wednesday and only only four more sleep 'til Santa.
I hope those of you who are looking forward to it are feeling festive and are all ready for the big day. I've only got to make stuffing, gravy and pudding and collect one more gft.
Morning, Jim. You haven't had any sleep at all yet?
I went to bed with my usual cup of tea and eventually drifted off. It's persisting down here but thankfully I'll have minimal exposure to the rain from here to the office.
You might feel worse having just a little bit of sleep and then having to wake up again. I sometimes wake at 2am and then fall back asleep at gone 4am and then the alarm goes off at 5am and I feel like an absolute Zombie.
Without wishing my life away, I can't wait to retire.
Morning and thank you, 1ozzy. I hope so too. I don't want anything to spoil Christmas for my mum or OH and little one.
Jim, have you just tried simple things like Marjoram oil on your pillow or just going to bed at the same time every night? Do you drink much caffeine throughout the day?
Crikey, that's late, Jim. I remember when I was in Reykjavik in 2017 and looking at the time on my phone and it was 03:12 and broad daylight. Weird.
I don't know what to say, Jim. I've gone through bouts of dreadful insomnia and I've had periods of being able to sleep at the drop of a hat. My best sleep ever was during pregnancy and the neonatal period. I could have slept on a washing line at that time.
Night Nurse and Co-Codamol are the other things that make me sleep like no one's business.
We had two offspring and their partners visit for an early Xmas dinner last night.
Great time, but, come Xmas day?
Hmm, Mrs Oz needs to understand apron strings don't last forever,,
I know where Mrs Oz is coming from. I'll be lost when I have to have my first Christmas Day without mine. As an older mum I just hope I'm around to watch him bring his kids up.
