It's Christmas  Eve! It's sunny, skies are blue, and there is Xmas jingles on the radio! What a great start to  the day.
I've just for a couple of MrSmows presents to wrap and I'm done! (Though im sure I'll realise later on that I've forgotten something lol).
I try and make the most of Xmas seeing as its mean for be just one day so I stretch as much of it into today too. Well have traditional (for us)croissants for breakfast, and for dinner this evening will be a mini buffet of cheeses, crackers, ham etc...... Then off to the in-laws tomorrow bout midday I think.

Whats your Cheistmas Eve involve?X

morning Smow and all who follow. I am quite pleased with myself today, I managed to get several jobs done before anyone  else got up/ arrived.  Also the score was sellotape 3x me none. Although we said it was to be a quiet Christmas this year with just the thee of us, we still see to have got enough food to last us until Easter. My effort will to be to eat the mince pies ( thank you Sainsburys) well someone has to have the hard jobs

Have a Happy Christmas everyone in case I miss anyone later

Excuse spelling errors in my main post - I was busy typing too quickly!

Morning Rosetta - so youve bought the Sainsburys mince pies too! Aren't they delicious! I had to get 3 boxes to take over to my in-laws tomorrow, but she only wanted the boxes of 9 mini ones lol. Still just as delicious - the pastry is so crumbly. Yummy!  Buying too  much food etc is half the fun tho Rosetta isn't it : )

Too true Smow xx

I've only woken about 45 minutes ago and am having first coffee. Later this morning we are off to Borough Market to get seafood and beef for a Wellington. Then it will be indoors for the next 48+ hours.

I already feel like I've eaten and drank way too much. I'll be happy to get back to normal. Enjoy your day everyone 😊

Good morning Smow. Planning a lazy day today, have to look what's on the TV. All set for tomorrow as I braved the traffic yesterday - it was horrendous. Sorry to say I do not like mince pies, but my SIL,(who is Jamaican), bakes me their version of a Xmas cake which is superb. Full of fruit which she has been steeping in alcohol for a couple of months!! Also discovered Lidl sell extra thick clotted cream which goes wonderfully with it. So saying I must be due for elevenses, and a piece of Xmas cake.

Have a lovely day tomorrow everyone.

Curled up on the sofa, pot of coffee, same as most days really.  Will have a roast dinner tonight as its Chinese snack food tomorrow.  It's lovely and sunny so might go for a walk this afternoon, can't walk far but might take my binoculars up to the reservoir to see what birds are about

Enjoy your Christmas, whatever you're doing. xxx

Whatever you're doing, a very happy Christmas, Smow, and to all the early (and late) birdies too.

Sounds like everyone is having a fairly good day today. I am just sneaking in and out of bedroom quietly and wrapping MrSmows presents inbetween doing other bits. Why I always end up leaving it till Xmas Eve I do not know! I say every year I'll do it the week before and never end up doing it lol.

we had a lazy morning; in fact the postman knocked at 10:45 am  with a parcal and I was still pottering about in my dressing gown. I decided he'd seen worse and wished him a Merry Christmas.  Had I been dressed I might have found him a tip but I didnt want to prolong the partly dressed situation.

We popped out to a local cafe on the Norfolk Broads for a light lunch.  It was so mild.  We strolled by the water and watched people feeding the ducks and geese.  All very quiet and civilised. I guess it might have been a different matter in the towns.

Home now and settling down with coffee and chocolate to watch a Christmas film. Happy Days.
