What do you have for Christmas dinner? Do you have a traditional meal every year or can anyone suggest an alternative to the usual turkey/chicken/baked ham stuff?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.To cook a beef wellington Seal your meat quickly ina hot frying pan then cook for about 20 mins. if you want meat quite rare 30 mins medium 40 mins well done Allow to cool while you roll out your puff pastry( frozen is fine) Coat your pastry with pate adding saute' sliced mushrooms if liked.Place meat in centre of pastry and bring edges up to meet in centre having previously made gashes in the edges of the pastry.Intertwine the cut edges and seal well using beaten egg.Use the rest of the egg to glaze the pastry.Cook for approx 20-30 mins in a hot oven or until pastry is golden brown.The timing depends on your oven to a certain extent.Enjoy Another suggestion for Christmas lunch is pheasant or guinea fowl.If your family like goose and use frozen ones Iceland are doing a boozy goose part boned and ready stuffed this year along with turkey stuffed with duck and other exotica

Firstly we cook the turkey in our weber BBQ, this gives a fantasic taste and it prevents the turkey from drying out.
