I do love Christmas but I don't like to start too soon, because I would get feed up with it all by Christmas. I start about 2 weeks before with decs and cards. I make my own cards and I have only just started to design and make them. I hope to have completed them in a couple of weeks, just in time to go in the post.

I received my 1st card this morning. :-)
HAPPY CHRISTMAS Jools xx
I start to feel Chrismassy in Oct - I love it and I am glad that everyone else here seems to too.
I feel xmassy too today, i've got my work xmas party tonight!
not in the mood for xmas just yet, will pit up decorations next week after my birthday
having our xmas party 2 weeks from now, not looking forward to that, we have to have it with another dept (we don't like themm much), has ev1 done their xmas shopping, i have, did it all online alot less hassle, iv'e wrap them as well (sad are'nt i), its also goin to be a bit of a strain, lost my dad in may, so its going to be a bit strange without him, but got to carry on for the kids, make a good xmas for them, spent a fortune on pressies, made me feel good, sorry if this has depressed anyone.
Your post is interesting poseidon - it seems like Xmas has now become really commercial, people feel under some sort of obligation to get themselves into horrendous debt . The advertisers and marketing experts know this and go for the weak points - the children.
Hi there Stylinsam, I did the same as you sent my christmas cards friday morning, took my daughter to nursery then put all the decorations up. When shhe came home it was lovely. My kids love christmas and so do I. I am now reliving it all over again through the kids. Just this year bought a singing christmas dog.... husband thinks its tacky but we are loving it. Am totally all ready with not a debt in sight.xx

no you missed my point christmas does not need to be so stressful, people don't need to get themselves to so much debt i've bought what i could afford, you're right about it becoming to commercialised, i've notice when adverts for childrens toys come on, its usually around teatime, they are deliberately putting them on at this time so children will want these toys, this puts pressure on families who maybe on low income or not.
