It is very large but we have the space so I can try and wrap it and then keep it out of the way.

I thought I might ask for interests sake just in case for me as well as everyone else as these problems do come up at this time of year esp. if we live with very nosey people lol

The threat of decapitation always works very well in the Boo household, though the dog clearly decided to call my bluff last Xmas, the little sod ate all the boxes of Thorntons under the tree, then spent all night throwing up.

Incidently- he was right, he looked so miserable that I couldnt bring myself to tell him off.

lol very funny.

Has he learnt do you think as this year looms or will he end up throwing up again.

P.s that must have been an expensive dog treat why didn't he eat the cheap choc's some generous relative gave you not the thorntons.

Thornton's for dogs I can see it now "get your dog a chocolate bone iced with your dogs name and christmas greeting!"
Can you not leave it with a neighbour or a relative until the last minute?

no we live in the middle of no where and well have just moved house and dont know anyone plus it is a quiet kind of place where people keep them elves to themselves.
Large is relative. If it is really large - you could wrap it in a sheet first - tucking the ends underneath - then wrapping it in paper. That way if they tear the paper, they will only see the sheet. Be sure to use wrapping paper they can't duplicate:)

Great idea bbwchatt I will have to try that, it is big but I will not say what it is because he does use ab and it would be a bit of a bummer if he read what i had got him lol
I particularly like how your neighbours keep their "elves" to themselves...I'd hate for the little imps to be let loose in the community ;-)
Is it for a man? Then it's easy, hide it in places he never goes to:

the laundry basket
the ironing board cupboard
the bedlinen cupboard
behind the cleaning products in the kitchen

;-)
Or if its for a lady;

Under the bonnet of the car
Wherever your gardening implements are kept
Inside a box that 'looks heavy'
In a place likely to contain any kind of insect life
Behind wherever you keep spare lightbulbs etc.
;-)

lol @ Booldawg! :-P
