christmas decorations in New York

Yes, this particular custom happens at Christmas.

hmm I thought that it might have been so, I was hoping that somebody may know if they follow the customs of this country in beggining the season late november. thanks

simonruss my husband and I was there two years ago beinning fo december and the was starting to put decos up then. it is really magical.! I loved it. have a great trip. dress very warm though as it was bitterly cold and it snowed when we was up the Empire state building.

New York at christmas time is really great!.............they usually start putting decorations up just after Thanksgiving day, which is always the fourth thursday in November, sometimes slightly earlier, and they look spectacular once done, especially around Central Park near the ice skating rink ( or in my case......ice fall!........always on the floor!) .........so safe to say most of the shops and streets all decorated and done by end of November.
