My mother held that is was unlucky to touch them before 12th Night so she always left 'em. She had the lousiest luck you could imagine so do "what you will" as the bard had it.
I'm not at all superstitious .......... but would take them down as other people would be fearful for us!
With the amount some people have up and the length of time there are up they will need planning permission to remove or else they have become a listed eye sore
taken most things down now. Will sift through the Xmas cards tonight as lots of them have messages in that I havnt really read yet. A few are from friends who have only signed their name and no husband or partner,so I dont know whats happened there. Must find out ! We dont have as many this year as lots of elderly relatives have passed on recently. RIP xx
OH is de-treeing as I write.
Just got 5 special cards left up-return to work on Wednesday so won't have the energy to be taking all decs/tree down on twelfth night. Any christmas reminder is,to me anyway, maintaining the tradition of twelfth night.
Yep this morning back to work tomorrow so...
We still have the tree upo at home and here at work
I am trying to talk them into leaving it up until 2 Feb which - I believe - is the official end of Christmas
yup, did it tuesday
