Why did people ORIGINALLY dress up on hallowen?......I've googled this and come up with so many different answers ( half of them stupid) its driving me mad....has anybody got any sensible answers please?

Halloween means Holy Evening and is the day before All Saints Day. People originally believed that on that night dead bodies left their graves. People dress up in scary outfits to emulate spirits.
