Logically, we know Santa can't get round the whole world in one night on 24 December.
So he does a few countries early.
In Switzerland, they have Santa on 6 December. But ...
He doesn't fly in with reindeer from the North Pole. He lives in a cottage in the woods, and has a donkey. And ...
There's a guy who comes with him called Schmutzli. Schmutzli lives with Santa in the cottage in the woods, so they are presumably lovers.
Schmutzli is like a dark Santa, dressed in black. If children have been naughty, they don't just get fewer presents ... Schmutzli puts them in his sack and takes them back to the woods.
That would be like being kidnapped by Jimmy Savile. But with dark hair. And a beard. So, if you ever wonder why Swiss kids are so well behaved ... !
Maybe, in time, the tradition of Bad Santa might catch on over here? If you see someone shuffling around the back streets of Brighton in a false beard and a black Santa suit, pointing at kids and saying "You'd better have been REALLY good this year!" ... it could be me!
