Photographing Fireworks.
5 Answers
It is getting to that time of the year when there will be plenty of firework displays taking place. I am hoping to get out and try and get some photographs at one of our local events. I will be using a Canon 6d + 24-105 lens, tripod and a cable release. Any tips would be great. Thanks in advance.

Camera set on fully manual (or if you want to cheat it may have a pre-set 'fireworks' scene mode), low f stop and shutter speed of 5 secs or medium f stop and 15 seconds. Cable release (or if the 6d has wi-fi get the app and use that as a shutter release). i.e. experiment. It's good to get some foreground in like a church spire / tree for a bit of perspective.
