Santa’s Test Flight
Since Santa flies over American air-space, he is required to under-go annual certification to fly by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA inspector arrived at the North Pole to see Santa putting the finishing touches to his sleigh.
The inspector observed Santa checking the reindeer harnesses, totalling the weight of the presents on-board and calculating the V-1 take-off speed.
Since there is no sleigh flight simulator, for the test flight the inspector instructs Santa to take off and fly three times around the North Pole before coming back down to land. As Santa takes his seat at the front of the sleigh next to the inspector, he notices that he a carrying a shot gun.
Santa asks why the inspector has a shot gun; the inspector winks at Santa and says ‘I’m not really supposed to tell you this, but during take-off you’re going to lose one of your engines’.
