whats the best wedding you have been to and why ?

the best one i went to was last year. my friend got married late in the afternoon and instead of having a sit down meal she put on a few nibbles and a free bar for a couple of hours. the main buffet was brought out at about 8pm when the evening guests arrived. it was so laid back and she didnt have the worry of sorting a seating plan etc. i am thinking of doing the same when i get married as it didnt cost the earth and everyone commented on how good it was!

Two very good friends of mine from uni married each other last summer and the wedding was like a uni reunion and was a very special day.

The bride and groom hired a field with a pool in it somewhere in kent. All the guest bought a tent and a sleeping bag with them they had a BBQ, free drink a live band on stage, a bouncy castle for the kids, opbviously the swimming pool and a magician walking round plus a baloon modelling guy, it was like a festival it was great! Everyone then crashed at the bottom of the field at the end of the night. Plus we all got party bags at the end. Best ever! Don't go for the same as everyone else make it different and make a statement! definitely!

A friends of mine a couple of years ago. Pub beforehand, nice service and on to some 'stately' hall in acres of grounds he'd hired for the reception. Really good food, funny best man and all our friends present. Free bar, evening of dancing, al fresco naughties with the missus (mine!) after dark... really good day.

Mine,it was a day to remember and we're looking forward to our lovely daughter's wedding in May:-)
