My son just asked me of it a bank holiday this weekend for St pats day, it isn't here in England but is it anywhere else? Probably is in Ireland i guess.

It's a Bank Holiday in Ulster and in Ireland. As a matter of interest, St Andrew's Day is now a Bank Holiday in Scotland.
Your son might wish to know that it was declared a sort of FIVE DAY festival in Ireland this year. The Bank Holiday ends it in Monday 19th this year. The man is dead over 1,500 years!
And St Georges Day gets celebrated by...
