Try contacting some Morris dancers as they use maypoles, don't they? Just google Morris dancers to get their website.

My kids school has just got a new set, and despite costing over �100 the rings keep snapping! I am going to make them another set, with much sturdier rings. These will cost around �60 to make, but the carriage will be the same even if i buy materials for two sets, so I would happily make and send you a set for the same price, but please let me know in the next day or two as i am placing the order for the stuff.
