Christmas Party

I am trying to arrange our company Christmas party and am after ideas! Its going to be for around 100 people and I think the budget will be 1500 -2000. There will be a complete range of ages from 18 year olds right through to over 50's (although I think most people who will go will be in the middle of that age range!). My 'brief' is for it to be above all fun but also relaxed and informal. I really want it to be the kind of thing where the next day everyone is saying what a fantastic time they had.
Help please - novel ideas are more than welcome (bear in mind it must be in somewhere with a well stocked bar - I would be the most unpopular person ever if alcohol was not heavily involved!)

TIA

A guy at our place is arranging one at the local bowling alley. Food, drinks, a few daft competitions for around 12 a head.

It's somewhere different than just propping the local's function room up. Maybe an idea?
Hi Miss

bit of a buffet, disco, few silly party games
If people are up and about the next day then some party that was eh?

Just take everyone to the pub, put the money behind the bar and leave it at that
make a suggestion box...then you can blame someone else if its pooh!

Loads of stella and drunk women. Oh joy Ive only got 11 christmas parties booked lol
Hire this band - http://www.kentband.org.uk/ and just grab yourself a hall with a few christmas dec/balloons etc and you will have the best night...o and dont forget the food! poss a choco fountain although thats a really low budget you're working on for a staff christmas party!

Give Jongleurs a try (i find copy and paste a nightmare on this laptop sorry.)
They do comedy nights with food and disco; run by the Jongleurs comedy club but they appear to do stuff locally.
Ours was held in the local leisure centre arena, was a great one.
This is the article I like to quote about organizing parties (especially office parties). Wish ours were like that....

My work have hired big games like huge operation, connect 4, table football etc and we're going to get singstar on one TV and Buzz on another. We're having drinks and pizza delivered to our conference room. I think it will be a reall laugh.
