Summer ???

I've just read that the met office are again predicting a barbeque summer, Are they taking the P**S or what ????. The summer weather will be exactly as it is currently, warm, breezy and with lots of heavy downpours with flash flooding in certain areas of the UK !!!!!

Yes,you're right.If I recollect,they were predicting a scorcher this time last year (Spring 08)
All last week heavy showers were predicted for my area,it was dry and sunny every day.
They are utterly useless at predicting weather more than a day in advance.

We seem to get this every year now. Every spring the Met Office tell us we're going to have the hottest summer on record. Then every autumn they tell us it's going to be a really bad winter. Then we hear no more of it when the predictions fall on their face.

I'm sure it's a case that if the weather does happen by chance to be exceptional then the Met Office will happily claim the credit. But if we get our typical summer and winter then it's obvious the Met Office think we'll just forget what they said six months earlier. Perhaps they think we're stupid?

I've just read about flooding in Sheffield, Aren't we supposed to be in the height of summer ???. Read my original posting, I'm right again !!!!!
