Gift for my son - any ideas?
He's 30, intelligent and a computer geek (so no computer gifts, please - he has stuff I've never even heard of). Problem is, I never see him to ask, because he's opted to cut himself off from us (whole other story - won't go into it here). However he's still our son and we still want to give him something for Christmas.
Other than vouchers, I really can't think of anything. Maybe something around the £40-£50 mark, and I'm quite happy to get him something marketed as a 'gift item'. Something aviation-related might work (not a flying lesson though - he already has a pilot's licence).

If he likes Rugby membership of the england rugby supporters club is good...would give him discounts on tickets and entry into the 6 nations ticket draws as well as the England Rugby year book, discounts at the shop , magazines etc

Funny you should mention that, Mickey. I had a quick browse around the Tigers site then hopped over to FIrebox, and I think I've found just the thing:

Would leave me a few quid to get him a Tigers shirt too.

Almost. The lad moved out years ago, but never day goes by without my reading of his daft antics on Facebook. There's still a clip somewhere of the time him and his mate decided to set light to load of gunpowder in their back yard. Let's just say it woke up the neighbours! Pressies are never a problem where he's concerned.
Recent welcome gifts for hubby have included a didgeridoo and a pair of bongos! Need I say more?

to be honest i am not too keen on the experiences as they are very personal so if the person doenst like it they may have difficult swapping to another experience red letter days are good at swapping though I have found. But also these places where you go for the experiences can be miles away not very convienent
