I am going to a wedding soon and have bought a new dress. It is a knee length fitted shift dress with a sort of draped feature on the waist at the front and the colour is a bright cerise. I will be wearing nude tights.
I have two dilemmas - firstly do I wear my black killer heels or my nude killer heels (these are similar to the L.K. Bennett ones that Kate Middleton wears, and the black ones are the same style).
Secondly, I want to buy one of those tiny bolero cardigans to cover my spindly arms but have no idea what colour to choose.

Black shoes and black Cardy
Hey hun,

If you wear nude shoes you could go for a patterned jacket with the cerise in it, but if you go with the black shoes I'd for a black jacket or one the same colour as the dress.

We will talk soon I promise.

The nude shoes are the 'in' colour but it's a matter of taste. I think they're hideous so would go for black and if so can't think of anything other than black for the bolero. If you went with the nude shoes then you have more options with the bolero.
i'm flabbergasted that an international super model is in need of fashion advice
Neutral shoes. I have a delicate sequinned cream bolero that goes with everything.

mazie, sorry, it is a personal thing but I loathe pashminas

divegirl, I will hold you to that as long as you know who isn't squawking in the background lol x
Nude shoes. I think the black will be too harsh agains the cerise. But I agree with Mazie go for a pashmina so many things you can do with them and they look great and are fab if it gets a little chilly.
Oooo I love the jacket.

And!

Oh but he has some great new noises! He now does 'ah ah errrr' a la Anne from Little Britain! I swear I will kill my kids one day!

Excuse the subtitles :)
Just a thought mrs o....have you any Navy shoes. Navy goes great with Cerise
Mornin all

I'd go for the nude shoes with a nude coloured pashmina with maybe some cerise trim or beads sewn on to match the dress, you're good in the craft department so it'd be a breeze for you :)

I am very grateful for your brilliant suggestions but please let me repeat that I LOATHE pashminas for myself. I once tried one and all I could see in the mirror was the reflection of my late grannie
Question Author
Sorry queenie, navy is not one of my colours
Will you be warm enough in a dress and shrug? Would a jacket be better?
Question Author
Tilly, the wedding service is being held in a freezing cold cavernous Victorian building and I will be wearing my warmest coat.
The reception is a different matter and that's when my outfit will be on show
no probs....to be honest it's a beggar to get your hands on anyways :/

nude shoes, nude shrug and same fascinator & matching small bag , but if you feel this is too much "neutral" then you will be more comfortable to go with the black accessories then go for them. I would buy both try them all on at home then return the rejected stuff to the shop. I am sure you will be a bobbydazzler in either. Keep us all informed pls.
Ah, right, mrs_o.
