Banana Skins

My mother in her wisdom has put down banana skins around her roses, something about black fly dont like it!?, god knows i'm no gardener but my question is........
Are banana skins harmful to dogs as my 1yr old pup keeps eating them! silly sod

I have several lists of foods that are poisonous (one listed below) but none of them mention bananas or their skins.

the only fruit I know of that is dangerous to dogs is grapes, but not sure about the skin of bananas, but think I would stop the puppy eating them just in case as they will almost certainly have been sprayed with insecticide.

thanks, i have stopped him eating them and mum from putting them down just in case, now going for convetional bug killing spray!!
