M&S won't listen to customers .......
In an earlier thread I told you that M&S (in their wisdom!) have now decided there are no customers size 18 who are tall.
They have discontinued making a Long length Per Una jeans but only in sizes 18 and 20, they still do Long in sizes below 18. Last week I thought I would try again! I bought the New In range per una Roma jeans (which fit me so well)to try the regular length as on the reviews customers were saying the lengths seem to be getting longer. The jeans were ok with flat shoes but no good with heeled boots, too short. I decided to put a really glowing review on the website item saying what a brilliant fit they were, but so disappointed they suddenly had stopped making the longer length only in size 18 and 20. Despite the fact that some customers put awful website reviews on various M&S products saying "poor quality, bad fit etc etc" and they are accepted, M&S have sent me an email saying my review has been rejected. I have emailed Head Office with no result, discussed this matter in store to very surprised sales assistants (who said the long length always sold out first) and submitted my two reviews. WHY won't they listen to their customers? I don't understand it, I feel like writing to the National press. They grumble that sales are going down etc etc but I know one of the reasons! Very frustrated as I love these jeans and mine are wearing out ............ I would have bought another 3 pairs if only they would cater for me!

When the co-op introduced it's silly Radio Co-op I complained so much to the manager we became good friends. He let me have the music turned down a bit when I went in if he was on duty. But then I did accidentally resuscitate one of his customers who had a heart attack in the fruit and veg aisle.

I hate jangling music in shops too ............ I now say very loudly in front of official bods carrying clipboards "Oh this music is really putting me off my shopping, I can't think what I came in for, think I'll leave it" ........... and sometimes it works! Last week in Tescos the manager came up and apologised and promised he would turn it down ....
Today in Homebase they were playing 60s music, so that was quite acceptable, had me and OH jigging in the aisles! :))

No surprise to me about your complaints (and ignoral of these) by M&S. VERY many years ago they were reliable and well-run. Size-labels for
off-the-shelf clothing could be relied upon without fitting-check, and covered virtually all sizes. Even though you know what your size(s) is/are, now you have to check in the fitting-rooms (too few of those, as everyone has to check if they REALLY fit, hence long queues). As regards pay-desk the staff, they are less useful than those in the local supermarket. They don't even say "thank you" when you part with your hard-earned cash which pays their wages.
M&S are still trading on Mrs Thatcher's free advertising of them as a great and efficient business (you're too young to know about that).
"Their" products (not made in Britain) are overpriced for the mugs who shop there and their staff down to the absolute minimum, indeed less than that! You EVEN have to stand in a long queue in order to pay, i.e. GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
Ann86,your quote about the story you were told about "long length sold out first" was either a lie or bad-business management - if the product clears the racks first, why not increase the available stock and profit? Sounds like the type of shop where you ask for something specific and they say"there's no call for it".
The best retaliation against any lousy don't-care supplier is not to complain but, rather, never go back to them.

I say again -I wouldn't shop there but sadly these jeans seem to be the only ones around with the most perfect fit (apart from the length)
