Hey,

I've never used a forum for advice before, but feel the need to get some much needed fashion advice, as I struggle to get it right sometimes (LOL)

I bought this Grey Embellished Party Dress from Miss Selfridge's the other day, to wear out next week (clubbing) and maybe even to a a Works Christmas do in December, however I'm stuck as to what color shoes and bag would be best? I've been doing some online research and most articles state that silver shoes would be best with a silver/grey dress unless I'm after making a dramatic statement, in which case I'd wear black / prints (but I'm not really)... but looking at it myself, I'm not 100% convinced it'll work.

If you could take a look, maybe post some pictures of things I could get, I'm on a tight budget and my feet can't handle anything above 3 inches lol (Not usually a heely dressy person). I know it's a tall order, but I'm hoping someone out there can help...

Duck egg blue might work if they are minimal strappy things which won't distract from the dress.

Just to add, I agree with you over the ebay shoes. I'd avoid the metallic look if possible, it's a bit brash against the lightness of the dress, if that makes sense.

Try Next, they have a decent range of silvery shoes, though they look a bit gold in the photos, you'd need to go to a biggish shop.

Thanks guys for all your suggestipns its really helpful :) .. the dress is very pale grey snd after putting a few combinations alongside the dress i think that maybe light grey might be best.. im not brave enough to pair it withe a colour that isnt of a similar tone to the dress.. so it'd have to be in the grey/silver family.. i want to keep it simple as not to distract from the dress and agree with rockyracoon about the brashness of metallics.. I really appreciate all your answers.. gave me alot to think about :) xx
