Tights - A Question ...

... for the ladies of AB land.

Over dinner last night the conversation turned (as it so often does) to women's underclothing - and a heated dispute ensued.

If we assume that a woman wants to wear nylon on her legs (and isn't trying to pull Dr Sqad by wearing stockings and suspenders) then I am convinced that virtually all women (at least in my experience) wear their tights over their knickers - to do otherwise seems nasty, sweaty and scratchy in areas where you don't need those sensations.

My companions were absolutely convinced that, on the contrary, your knickers go over the top of your tights - mainly to avoid 'saggage'.

So ... can we have a show of (ahem) hands please ...

Superman may wear his knickers over his tights, but Supergirl sensibly does not.

Knickers under always (yuk to the alternative). However very occasionally another pair over as well if you're wearing a short skirt.

Good quality tights with a nice cotton gusset UNDER knickers of course....x

It prevented a visible 'bag-wag' (Mum's word) and the over knicks often had cheeky slogans on for when you meant upstairs on the bus.

I think years ago to hold tights up and for modesty it was common place to have knickers/tights/knickers, a quick route to a sweaty Betty!

Many modern tights now have a gusset so arguably knickers are unnecessary but in case of a Marilyn Monroe moment I wouldn't go commando!

If you're skinny and strut your stuff tights over results in the gusset arriving at your knees......and the penguin walk isn't sexy.....☺
