Hooded Pyjama Tops

Why?  Just why?

 

I'm 'Amazoning' (I made that up) for Christmas presents.  What is it with hooded pyjama tops?  Does anyone actually wear the hoods?  They look mighty uncomfortable as sleep wear to me.

Not something I would wear, but I suspect, like 'Onezies', they are aimed at a younger demographic.

I had a pajama/lounge set with a hood years ago. It was fairly thin fabric so the hood was not intrusive when sleeping.

I'm looking at the thick fluffy type and just imagined trying to sleep with a thick hood bundled behind my neck.  I imagine that's really uncomfortable.

My younger self would have loved one of those growing up in a house where there was ice on the INSIDE of the windows in the winter! Pre duvets and nylon sheets.

The hooded top I am wearing now wass described as a hooded pj top by Tu.  It's grey and like a lighter weight jumper.  I have several which make great indoor wear.  Never could I sleep in them.  I sleep in teashirt type cotton  nighties all year round.  I could never sleep in pj's or wear bedsocks either.

I've seen some neighbours put their wheelie bins out whilst wearing their pyjamas (with hooded tops).

Bear in mind that loungewear is called Pj's these days.

I have no head hair, and I can get quite cold in bed in winter unless I arrange the duvet carefully so as to cover my pate but leave room to breathe and hear. I was given a nightcap as a birthday present and that was lovely, but I've now lost it.

You lose heat through your head so a hoodie is good for old people when sitting at home and not moving much.  One where you can detach the hood is the best sort.

I can't wear a hood even when it's raining or freezing,  they annoy me.

Why Hooded Pj tops? In a studio apt. with my partner, when he want to keep lights on and I want to sleep its super handy to pull the hood over my eyes, kinda tuck my face in. Sleep wonderfully, oh and it helps if the hood is made to be deeper....wider..than the normal hoodie. :)
