Replacing faulty sunglasses
I bought some Gucci Sunglasses in June from a local opticians. Two weeks later a nut fell off the front. I took them back to be repaired and they replaced the nut with another type of nut- not the same desin as they originally had. This nut is visible and forms part of the overall design. I am not really hapy with them and want them the same as when I bought them. Can I still insist on a replacement, (i have had them about 10 weeks now).

Why did you stand for that? You have Gucci sungalsses, and after just two weeks the screw should not have fallen out. Especially for the money you paid for them. If i were you, id go back into the opticians and demand they either replace the sunglasses with an identical pair, or order another screw from gucci so that it can be fitted onto your pair. Why cant they take a screw out of another pair of identical shades and put it in yours?
If the lost Gucci screw formed part of the design, then i dnt understand why they thought it was ok to replace it with a normal nut that they put on their own brand glasses.
Think of your statutory rights, if not, threaten to sue them.
