Christmas outfits from the High St

Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for any High St shops for buying Christmas outfits? I'm a size 18 (having previously been a 22) and am looking for some nice clothes to wear to go out over the festive season. Preferably dress esand tops. In the limited time I had this afternoon I found nothing. Even in Dorothy Perkins I asked an assistant if they had any dresses and she pointed to the one that they had - black wrap over. She couldnt believe it either. Wasnt a lot in New Look either. BTW I'm 48 yrs old. TIA x

Hi LainieJ I'm 48 too! Trouble is I thinks it's probably just a tad too early at the mo.
I always find per Una in Marks and Sparks pretty good, you can order online and it often arrives the following day.

Hi, not sure on the shops, depends on what style your after. Just enjoy wandering in the shops. Congratulations on the weight loss. My mum lost alot of weight recently, about the same as you and she has got a whole new lease of life and really enjoys shopping for clothes now.

Hi all. Many thanks for the congrats. It taking me a loooong time to do it and am only about halfway there but I intend to be at target by the time I'm 50.
Dont know about you Hellion but I think we're at an age where we cant wear the trendier styles (although I'd love to)but we're not ready to dress like our mothers. We're Inbetweenies !!
Wil have to go on a trek into town and take a full day I think. The other thing is that I'm not exactly flush and with pressies to buy I tend to come last (us por women eh ?!)
