Wedding outfit problem

Any suggestions -
I have an emerald green chiffony prom style dress to wear to a wedding. I think the colour is slightly "out" now but can't really afford a whole new outfit. What should I put it with? I know brights are in and thought of a cerise wrap/pashmina. My husabnd said it would look ridiculous!

Green's not out! I think your cerise would work nicely or how about cerise bag and shoes

I think emerald green is lovely and definately still in. I would wear with creamy colours though rather than cerise, as its a wedding

Cream sounds better than cerise in this instance (although I wouldn't call it 'ridiculous' - how unkind!).
If you're looking to update an item accessories are great, - why not make your money go further by having a spree in Accessorize or Claire's? Alternatively, why not take an element of a current trend such as metallic - and add splashes of that? Silver shoes and a pair of statement silver ear-rings would look modern, eye-catching and ideal for such a special occasion. Hope things go well. BB x
