Dinner Suit advice

I have been invited to a black tie event at the end of January and need advice on what to wear. I have bought a black dinner suit and white shirt with black bow tie. I also have black braces. Can I wear a cummerband as well? If so, where can I get a relatively cheap one as I am not sure how often I am likely to use it again. Thank you.
