Should men over a certain age, lets say 50, wear jeans. I'm of the opinion that at 50 its time to hang up the denim and wear a casual trouser. I just don't think men have the shape for it after that. i've been shot down in the office for suggesting this, does anyone agree?

yelenots, yes i should be working, but its lunch time and i'm in charge, and Ratter....I'm not suprised your bum hasn't sagged, i would imagine all the ballroom dancing with dogs you look like you're doing is good excercise.
The dogs certainly help alldaysmith, they do keep us on our toes! I'm not sure about the ballroom dancing though lol.
Well I'm 53 and I wear Jeans. And I've been told a couple of times that 'You got a nice bum.' Mind you once from a young lady about 19, so whether she was taking the p*ss or was serious I don't know. :-)
tut, more fashion police. I blame Trinny and Susannah. People should wear what they like, burkas included. Or nothing at all, I don't mind. And I don't care what age and shape they are either. (If you saw my age and shape you'd know why.)
Jno don't think you would like to see me with nothing at all, especialy walking through Tesco on a Saturday.
The older I get jno, the less I care what people think of me or the way I dress. One advantage of getting older!

I suppose it would be offputting if people didn't wear anything though! I stick to my kaftans and just let people guess what might be underneath!!
Dave and Lottie, I honestly don't mind. I've stayed in naturist villages in the south of France without being in the least bothered - and they are definitely for all shapes and sizes and ages.
I just don't fancy sharing seating with unclothed people jno for hygeine reasons!! And I think men look funny with no clothes on and rather vulnerable!!
But then I don't like seeing men in the supermarkets with bare sweaty chests either. I prefer clothing. I always think wearing something loose and cotton is much more comfortable than wearing nothing at all. And besides, I like a bit of mystery ;o)
people do tend to sit on towels for that reason, Lottie, but I'm not fussed - nudists keep themselves at least as clean as anyone else (they're probably more liable to feel the dirt on their skin).
I still think I'll give it a miss though jno!
not only 'Keef' richards, but the likes of:
Richard Gere
Pierce Brosnan
Denzil Washington
Mel Gibson
Bruce Willis
Clint Eastwood
Harrison ford et al shouldn't either?
I wouldnt know where to look lottie..
my dad wears jeans and still looks good in them
Me neither Poodi ;o). And as I said, men look so silly with their clothes off in normal everyday situations. Well, I suppose women do too.
Even worse if they leave their socks on...
Yep, LOL
I quite agree with you LoftyLottie. Wearing a little clothing is far far better in my mind. I'd much rather see a woman wearing a short skirt and a little top than naked. It gives the imagination something work on. ;-)
Hi Charlie. In my case, your imagination would be a lot better than seeing the real thing. ;o)
LOL
