Project ideas needed please
16 Answers
Desperately racking my brain for a project for my nearly six year old daughter to do over the next couple of weeks. She is hopeless at entertaining herself and can't spend the next four weeks twirling round in circles (which is her current favourite past-time). Any ideas greatfully received. Thanks.

1- get child to put on small jumper
2- tell child to climb on a box strategically placed next to wall.
3- staple jumper arms (note, not through limbs- social services get a bit sniffy) to wall.
4- remove box
5- Bog off shopping for a few hours, safe in the knowledge that your child will be safe, in the same place you left it and your house intact when you return several hours later.
(in case you're wondering- the too small jumper is so they can't wriggle out of it in your absence)
*disclaimer- no I don't really advocate this, and yes, it's a joke, before folk start looking for there torches to burn down my house.

Make a dolls bed from a shoe box. take the lid off and turn the box open side down, then you glue the lid on one end (slot the box inside the lip of the lid - so it kind of makes a head board - decorate it with material and tissue paper and lace and cut blankets from old material - she could even make duvets if you show her some simple sewing. it fits a Barbi size doll if its an adult size shoebox
What about a dolls house? Done this with my daughter when she was around that age. Get different shoes boxes lids to one side turn on the side to make like a room and decorate different ones for different rooms. You can used old carper or materials to do it. then use lids and stuff fom around house like loo rolls match boxes etc. Or just out pictures from magazine to decorate then glue rooms together or just have a bungalow
