Any suggestions on this one, please?

I went back to my old house today and there was a card through the door. Assuming it was a Christmas card I ripped it open. It was only when I opened it I realised it wasn't for me. it was a birthday card for a girl and there was a fiver enclosed. There was no return address. The problem is, it was correctly addressed to my house. Now I know that someone has made a mistake because I bought my house off plan and I am the only person to ever have lived there. I've tried checking the phone book and tried the electoral roll but I can't find this girl's family. Unless anyone can suggest anything I can do to find her proper address (I've asked a few neighbours in the locality and they don't know the family) the only thing left to me is putting it in the dead letter post and I doubt it will ever find her. Any ideas, please - I'd really like her to have her card and pressie?

Well I think I may have just cracked it. I did a search on the births marriages and deaths and found the birth of the girl. That enabled me to find her parent's marriage. Through that I have traced her mum on friendsreunited and am whacking off an email as we speak. Hopefully the card and present will soon be on its way to the birthday girl!

Can't do - it is incredibly easy to trace most people. I have not traced her address, but I have now got an email address for her mother. So I've written her a very sensitive email explaining who I am and inviting her to check me out before she sends me her address.
lmao Daffy and Sara.
Sqad - no, I'll check that out in a bit. Need to dive in the shower because we are heading out for supper.
