I am looking for inspiration for a birthday gift for an 80 year old man.

Unfortunately he cannot move about too much anymore and is a real homebird, preferring not to leave his house and garden. He has always been interested in nature, birds, wildlife.
He also likes Western movies. (He has every nature and western book/CD/DVD available to man!)

Something unusual might be the best gift for him so I am open to all suggestions!

Thanks.

Has he got the Western '3.10 to Yuma' with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Very good Film and well worth getting for him if he does not have it.......
My Granddad (86) always asks for portraits of the kids. But that's because he doesn't like to see the kids in the flesh. Noisy feckers they are....
The 4 x Disc DVD boxset of BBC's LIFE ON EARTH with David Attenborough is available here for £12 delivered http://www.play.com/D...On-Earth/Product.html
Birdfeeders to attract more birds to his garden, or some plants that attract wildlife.
A hip flask :-)

Thanks redman. He has absolutely loads of DVDs but I will check and see if he is missing that one!
However since his mobility has been restricted recently the poor fella has square eyes from the amount of movies he has been watching so I'm trying to think of something a bit different.
How about a membershio of the RSPB? You get a great magazine 4 times a year and the knowledge that birds and other wildlife are being supported.

hundreddolla - he has got the DVD set, and books etc (big Attenborough fan!)
rowanwitch - great idea but he has lots of different feeders, and a wildlife-friendly garden which he has put years of effort into.
NoMercy - his poor old wife carrys the wine to him in buckets so no need for a hip flask!
monty - he is already a member of the rspb but I could look into other local wildlife charities for him to subscribe to maybe?
