Does anyone know where you can buy vegan shoes (and clothes) in Cambridgeshire? Thanks.

I doubt that there are any specialists shops. Even a reasonable sized city like Cambridge , with a large student population, can only support one veggie restaurant. However that's where you're likely to find any ads for veggie/vegan-friendly shopping. So, the next time that you're in Cambridge, why not call in at the Rainbow Café to see if they know of any suitable contacts. Alternatively, their email address is here:

Another possible source of information might be Adam, who provides a contact point for the Cambridge Vegans and Vegetarians group:

It's worth remembering, of course, that the cheaper footwear in discount shoe stores like Shoe Zone rarely uses leather. (Simply look at the labels to find out what each part of the shoe is made of). Shoe Zone can be found in Cambridge (Fitzroy Street), Newmarket (High Street), Ely (High Street), Huntingdon (High Street) and St Neots (High Street).

Cotton Traders has (unsurprisingly!) plenty of purely cotton-based clothing. They've got an outlet within the Notcutt's garden centre at Horningsea:

Chris
Cotton Traders is named after one of the owners, Fran Cotton, and is not particularly ethical.
