Who knew shopping could be so hard...
15 Answers
I'm a female and LOVE shopping (what female doesnt) however "normal" clothes shopping and shopping for a wedding dress is a totall y different ball game.
Over the past 3 weeks and 30 dresses later I have finally managed to find The One... I am a happy bunny but never knew how exhausting it actually is!

I tend to only shop online, and then juust take stuff back to the shop if it doesn't fit, or I don't like it. I am more than happy to just sit there clicking on different pairs of shoes and bags, but I am SO fussy when it comes to clothes, that I rarely find stuff I like.
I tend to stick to the same shops, ASOS being my fave.
But yeah, I know what you mean, trawling round the shops can be really exhausting, especially when you've been to thirty different shops, and still can't find what you're looking for!

I'm not the best shopper and particularly hate buying jeans. I need a new pair and am not looking forward to trawling around the shops trying to find some.
You go into the shop, find what is nominally your size, try them on and they are too big/small/short; get dressed go out and find a couple more pairs. Try the new ones on, find a pair that fit perfectly, go and buy them. Go home wear them for a while and find that they have stretched and are now far too big.
Go shopping a second time buy the same jeans in a size smaller, try them on, which entails writhing around on floor of changing room to do up the zip, struggle to you feet to check them in mirror, they are definitely too tight, but once they have stretched as the other pair did they will be a perfect fit.
Go home, go through the writhing scenario again, wear them around house to get them to 'give' a bit. They don't, not at all, not one iota will they stretch. Second pair of jeans consigned to the reject pile.
Go shopping again, to different shop.......and the cycle begins once more.

Fliptheswitch... it is fun but bloody exhausting.. you think you have an idea of the dress you want, you try it on and it looks awful or it just isnt you.. then you see a dress that looks hideous on the hanger but looks lovely on, but it still doesnt feel that its The One.
People said to me, that I would definately know when its The One, to which I scoffed at, but they are right! You feel different somehow, it feels right on and doesnt make you look as if you are playing dress up with your mothers clothes... not that I would wear my mothers clothes I hasten to add!
As for jeans, the 2 places where I can get jeans to fit and look nice at the same time are River Island and Gap.

I dislike shopping intensely, except for internet shopping.
I can't stand hot shops full of people, changing rooms, etc. etc. To some people it is a weekend recreation. I just can't understand i
I am glad you have found The One though Kat. I suppose shopping for a wedding address might be somewhat difficult on the internet!!

Sorry Kat, that was very rude of me I just read the title and went into rant mode, I'm psyching myself up for a trip to the shops for ...jeans!
I understand your joy at finding THE dress. I remember when I got married, every weekend prior seemed to be taken up shopping for this and that. As Boxtops, I ended up having my dress made, I thought it would be easier until I had to choose the fabric...... ;-)
I envy people who can walk into a shop and buy jeans confident that they are the right fit for them. I have long legs and find it really hard to get the right length, add to that that I am long bodied and most jeans are obscene when I bend/crouch, then there is finding the right waist/hip size. Geez, I wish I liked skirts!
