Can't vote, no kids...
I don't have any kids but I usually take the kitties to the vet in a Taxi.

Does this help?
My children are now grown up but always walked as do my grandchildren.

Afternoon all. I've added the link so everyone can jump from the front page to here to discuss.

Does anyone fret about the impending school run?
We walk when it's not raining, drive when wet
My kids live 10 miles from school and no public transport.

Mind you in the last 8 months they've driven themselves to school!
My 2 were a mixture of A and B, depending upon where we lived and which school (primary or secondary)
My daughter and I got public transport or walked till I got a car, then I drove her - but only because her school was quite far from the house and just next to my work (where I was going anyway). Now she's at secondary she either walks or gets the bus or train.
I can't vote for some reason :o(

My kids walk, but as it's only about 200yards away done the path, it'd take longer to drive as i'd have to go round the road.
I haven't an option to vote.
Mine walk....2 miles each way.
Didnt even get the chance to vote, it just appeared
Agree with you DT. It must be a conspiracy lol
I can't vote either. The AB's hamster wheel must have broken.

There used to be a free bus laid on, but as the Government here in the Republic of Ireland are brassic after taking €400 a month off me to pay back the €87 billion they had to borrow, I now have to pay €200 a year for my son to get the bus to school. But it would still cost more than that over the academic year in petrol if the Trouble & Strife drove him there.

I voted that I always drove my child to school. I had no other option!! This was primary school out in the sticks but involved walking a reasonable distance down a main road and a walk of 3 miles down deserted country lanes. As he got older he went on a bike in the summer. School transport not provided as he didn't go to his catchment school, which was in fact further away!!

And seeing as I worked at the school I was driving there anyway. (He virtually disowned me once we got to school!!)
I had a vote button!!!!
I have driven them on the rare occasion their late.

Otherwise they always walk. I don't care how cold it is....

Sorry, votes are enabled again. Not sure what happened there!
Cant vote as dont have kids, i always walked to primary school except on the odd occaison when it was raining we would get a lift there/back home. Secondary school I used the school bus due to where the school was located.
