I bought a pair of dark skinny jeans from Next last week. Tried them on in shop and they fit perfectly. Wore them for a couple of days then bunged them in the wash. Washed at 40 degrees then dried on the clothes airer (don't have a tumble).
I've put them on this morning and they are horrible. They are all saggy as if I've been wearing them for a week. The'yre all loose around the bum and front and the legs make it look like they're too big for me. I had the same problem with a pair of bootleg jeans I bought from Next.
Does anyone else find the same problem with jeans from Next?
hi ive had no problem with next jeans.
did have problems with other items of clothing from next tho. i found next were very fair in their refunds/ returns policy.
id take them back if possible, stating poor quality.
oh, I was hoping others might say they've had the same problem then I could see a reason for it. I'm really disappointed as I'm pretty fussy about jeans and thought I'd finally found a decent pair.
Maybe I've just lots loads of weight since I wore them on Friday! (I wish)
Yeah I could give that a go. Just a bit worried the wasteband will shrink which is the only bit that still fits right. Wonder if they will take them back after I have tried that. Then restart the search.
The waist band should stretch out again quite easily if it does shrink, measure it before washing and if it has shrunk after washing give it a stretch while still wet.
I'd try 60 degrees at the most as any higher would ruin the leather patch if they've got one and no powder to try and keep the colour, although you will lose some of it as that is the nature of indigo dye. I'd take them back to Next first though myself to see what they say.
I've had to return two items to next in the last six months that have become stretched and shapeless after the first wash - a jumper and a skirt. The speed at which they agreed to refund me suggests they've got cheap suppliers and they know it.
I buy Next jeans and jean leggins. Only had a problem with a pair of denim leggins from Next, they seemed massive after I had washed them. I returned them to the shop and got a refund.
Yes EB, both my sister and myself have had the same propblem recently. We bought different styles but they're very similar denim. Maybe if enough people complain we'll get some results. I'd had mine a while before I wore them & I didn't realise other people (even my own sis!) were having the same problem.
