correct size wine glasses.?

can anyone recommend some decent wine glasses please. whilst shopping around most stores have huge goblet style glasses which hold around a half pint at a time. ive found some 24cl glasses that look ok but what is 24cl in english please. thanks...

I think it's about 8 fluid ounces if that helps.
Look at the large wine glasses in your local pub, a 24cl glass holds about 1/3 of a 70cl bottle.

The large glasses seem all the fashion now. If you put a quarter of a standard wine bottle in each glass you will get 175 cl each which is equivilent to a large glass measure in a restuarant.

24cl is 240mls... Personally I like oversized glasses with just a small measure of wine in at a time, as the wine needs plenty of space in the glass to open up.
