Just had some infomation from a friend in Canada ,Their cell phone numbers are being released this month to tele marketing companies, and they will start to receive sales calls which they will have to pay for
Are they the same companies that run our phones and could this happen here just a thought
I know absolutely nothing about Canada's mobile network or it's providers and their practices, but off the top of my head I'm immediately thinking extortion.
It's illegal to roll out an unsolicited "service" and have the recipient pay.
I think that your friend has got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Not only does it seem extremely unlikely, but a news search brings up nothing even vaguely similar.
I think the old fool has had one of these emails sent to him and believed it as we old do. They ought to have an age limit on this net thing to keep us gullible oldies at bay
Sorry about that I'll have words with later
