paying via paypal for ebay

so I get an invoice and I choose to pay via paypal and it asks me if I have an account I don't so choose to pay via paypal as a guest with my credit card I mess up and put the incorrect details in a few times as my partner kept giving me the wrong billing address (we have recently moved) but now it wont except any card whats so ever we waited for a few minutes still won't except. Then partner tried to pay via his paypal account still no.

Does the pay via paypal page on ebay block you after so many attempts??

Shut the browser down and then open it up to try again.

Just email the seller and ask them to send you a paypal invoice, or to give you their paypal registered e-mail address, then you can send the money to them. that usually works. But, if you pay by credit card via paypal it will take ten days before the seller gets paid.

tried on another laptop still nothing asked ebay they said ask paypal so waiting on their answer. regards sending payment direct to their paypal registered email address i would rather pay through ebay to use their protection systems and help services, due the amount I am paying I would prefer to stay safe.

You need to get on to paypals help page, you have been blocked as they think you are trying to hack someones account. There is a phone no if you look on the 'Help' section of your paypal home page.

Paypal seems to have tightened up a lot lately, in the last 2 weeks I've bought software games for my son, both times I've had to recieve an automated phone call and put a code in before the purchase would go through, then today I had o verify the numbe on my credit card, pain in the bum, but better safe than sorry I suppose.

They have to be very carefull with stuff like computer games, kids get hold of their parents details and try to buy the latest (expensive) games.

When you get hold of paypal operators they are all in the USA as far as I know , at least all the ones I have needed to talk to have had US accents.
They do seem very good though and know what they are talking about, which is more than I can say for some help lines. Paypal once phoned me to tell me there was a suspicious transaction on my account, they were right, someone had hacked my account and was trying to use it for online gambling. They spotted it before I even knew anything was wrong and as soon as I said it was unuauthorised I got an instant refund.
